
Ryan Hoffmann is a life-long Catholic who grew up in Iowa and has lived in Chicago for the past decade. Ryan earned a B.A. in Communications at the University of Northern Iowa, a M.Ed. in Higher Education at Iowa State University, and a M.A. in Christian Spirituality from Loyola University Chicago. Additionally, he completed post-graduate courses in the Theology Department at Loyola Chicago and attained his Doctor of Ministry degree with a Practical Theology focus at Catholic Theological Union in May 2020. In 2018 Ryan completed a Certificate in Executive Leadership at McCormick Theological Seminary.
Ryan currently serves as the Associate Director at the Religious Formation Conference. In his role he oversees all aspects of marketing and communications, Conference membership, and the biennial National Congress. He has previously worked in student affairs at Loyola University Chicago, enrollment management at Catholic Theological Union, and served in several non-profits providing faith-based leadership.
Ryan’s passions and research interests include the intersection of faith and social justice, Christian anthropology, LGBTQI/queer theology, and Catholic Church reform.
In his free time Ryan loves to take his Dog, Cooper, to the dog park, read and write, travel, root on his favorite teams – the Iowa State Cyclones, the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs – and enjoy good company and wonderful food.
